First of all, we announce that as of May 10, 2010, our new company name is changed to KEMEL CO., LTD. due to change of the shareholder. The new company is 100% owned by Eagle Industries Co., Ltd. Because of this, we shall not use the former name Kobelco Eagle Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. anymore after this date.
The new company continues to produce environmentally friendly products, for both water and non-water lubricated applications, with highly skilled and experienced employees from the former company.
The focus on environmentally compatible product lines, for both water and non-water lubricated applications, are intended to meet the requirements of the marine industry and vessels of almost all types and sizes.
Focus on high quality product technology and superior after service support are the key elements of the company's future to serve the industry. This focus has resulted in a 50% market share for mid to large size vessels and a 70% share for the small vessel market in Japan. Also a significant increase of market share world wide.
KEMEL has become a leading technology company and also wants to contribute to the Offshore and "Green" power generation areas. This due to KEMEL's focus on development of environmentally compatible products to prevent pollution.
The result of this effort have made available to the industry the most environmentally friendly products available. The highly evaluated Air Seal (for which leakage is eliminated) has sold over 1670 systems.
To meet the future requirements, we refocused from "stop leakage" to "no harm to the environment". This led to a lubricant product which returns to nature.
The seal technology to be compatible with this lubricant was also developed.
The process took 6 years of serious development and commitment. Also working closely with and listening to, product users and regulatory bodies. About 3 years of practical service has proven these new technologies as the most environmentally compliant to date.
